Tensile Rate Dependent Model (Laws: 2, 36, 44)

Test ID
G-602

Description
Tensile experiments are carried out over a range of strain rates ranging into the high speed impact regime. Tests include three stress-strain measurements in the .01-1 /s strain rate range and two high speed tensile stress-strain curves in the 1-100 /s range covering a total strain rate range of five decades. Poisson's ratio is provided.
Included Tests
# Test Id Test Name
1x D-010 Solid Density
2x M-204 Tensile Stress-Strain, Strength, and Modulus
1x M-206 Tensile Stress-Strain, Strength, Modulus and Poisson's Ratio
2x M-232 High Speed Tensile Stress-Strain

Options
For additional costs, the model can be customized to include non-ambient temperatures. The rate dependent model can be augmented to include strain rates up to 1000 /s by the addition of M-235. A material model can be provided for Law 2, Law 36, or Law 44 (please specify preferred model upon ordering).
Data
Measured property data is provided.
Samples
30 - high speed tensile bars [details]

Application
This data can be used to simulate the behavior of components subjected to impact situations.
