Testing for Automotive

The automotive industry performs testing of materials with two primary objectives. Testing for the material certification and desigh properties, with or without the application of CAE. Design properties are precision data that are used to represent the material in new product development. Data include stress-strain data, fatigue, creep.

Additionally, CAE analysts may require high strain rate properties for crash simulations, mold-filling analysis, hyperelastic properties of rubber and foams, S/N curves for fatigue simulation and specialized rubber properties for non-linear NVH simulations.

Material certification testing is typically low end, high volume testing on several lots of a material that is a candidate for acceptance by an automotive OEM. This testing can be performed by DatapointLabs using a different low cost-high volume pricing formula. Please Contact Us for this type of testing.
