Description
A Dynatup POE 2000 apparatus is used to impact a specimen. Specimens are bars with dimensions specified in ASTM and notched accordingly. Sample is clamped vertically, with notch on impact side. Machine is connected to a computer to give load deflection curve. At set velocity and energy, pendulum is released to impact specimen. Test is complete when pendulum completes one swing. Five replicates are performed.

Application
