Plastic Point in Flexure

Test ID

M-036

Description

Cyclic tests are performed on a material, in which the material is flexed to incrementally increasing extensions and then unloaded in between.  Imposed and residual strains are recorded.  Up to thirty extensions are used.  A strain vs. residual strain curve is generated.  Plastic point is calculated from the intersection of the two asymtotes from the pre-yield and post-yield portions of the plots.
