Volumetric Expansion Coefficient by DMA
This test measures volumetric thermal expansion coefficient as a function of temperature using a thermomechanical analyzer fitted with quartz dilatometer.
CVTE, volume vs temperature. This data appears in Matereality as Volumetric Thermal Expansion.
Number of times this test is repeated: 2
5 parts, any shape [details]
This test is useful for materials whose linear coefficient of expansion cannot be easily determined using a linear expansion probe. These materials include irregularly-shaped samples and materials in the liquid or semi-liquid state, where even slight positive loading on the linear expansion probe would tend to cause deformation.
