Description
Metal samples are cycled in both tension and compression at a single strain level. The cyclic hardening behavior is captured during the test. This data is then fit to the Chaboche material model in ANSYS. Special specimens are required for this test.

The results from this test are useful to describe the ratcheting effect of hardness that some materials experience during application. This model is used to describe the hardening in the post-yield portion of the stress-strain curve.
