LS-DYNA Laminated Composite Fabric (MAT_054)
The TestPak consists of tensile stress-strain measurements made in the 1 and 2 directions, with Poisson’s ratio being measured in the 2-1 direction. The shear modulus in the 1-2 direction is also measured using DIC techniques. For failure, the tensile strength is measured in the two directions as well as the compressive strength in the two directions. Shear strength is also measured in the 1-2 direction. For details on specific tests, select the appropriate individual tests.

Temperature dependence can also be incorporated into this model by ordering the model at multiple temperatures.

This TestPak is used when modeling structured composites of woven fabric, unidirectional fibers, or complete laminates. Shear modulus in the 2-3 and 3-1 directions is calculated in some cases due to difficulty in measuring these properties for some materials.
