Description

Properties needed to perform a mold filling analysis are generated. These include: Viscosity vs. shear rate at 3 temperatures (two in the processing range and one below), specific heat and transition analysis, thermal conductivity, and specific volume vs. temperature and pressure (PVT). Viscosity data is fit to a Cross material model and PVT data is fit to the modified Tait model for easy implementation into the software.

Application

The filling properties allow the user to simulate the flow of polymer through runners and fill the mold cavity and pressurize the cavity.
