Altair RADIOSS Adhesive Connet Materials (LAW59)G-609
Description
Testing required to inform RADIOSS LAW59 including failure is included in this TestPak. These tests include: butt joint tensile tests, Thick Adhesive Shear Tests (TAST) and Mode i and Mode II fracture energy tests. Also included is the iterative data fitting for adhesive failure. Please note that this TestPak does not address Cohesive Zone modelling or failure of cohesive zone. This model is only available for solid elements.

Options
This material model is available at both sub-ambient and above ambient temperatures.
Samples
Application
Used for modelling of structural adhesives including failure of the adhesive layer. LAW59 uses energy or displacement based failure modes to determine when failure occurs. Although more computationally expensive than LAW36 this material model can accurately capture complex deformation including shear behavior.
