LS-DYNA High Speed 3 Point Flexural Rate Dependent Model (MAT_019 or MAT_024)
Test ID
G-770
Description
Three-point bending experiments are carried out over a range of strain rates ranging into the high speed impact regime. Three flex experiments are performed along with two high speed experiments covering a strain rate range of five decades. Data are analyzed for use in the LS-DYNA MAT_019 or MAT_024 model.

[details]Application
In conjunction with LS-DYNA, this data can be used to simulate the behavior of components subjected to bending type impact situations. It is well suited to materials exhibiting small strains to failure. The MAT_024 model can only be used with material showing little or no rate dependency in the modulus.
